It all started in 2020, shortly after Dumi and Ziphozenkosi tied the knot. Dumi’s father, Falithenjwa Nzimande, revealed in an interview with Sunday World that they have been receiving unexpected guests ever since. These women, convinced that they are the chosen ones for the gospel singer, have been causing quite a stir in the Mkokstad household.
False Prophecies and Framed Photos
One of the most bizarre incidents involved a woman who arrived at Dumi’s home with her luggage, claiming that she had received a prophecy from her bishop stating that she was Dumi’s chosen wife. Unsurprisingly, Dumi had no knowledge of this woman, and she was promptly taken to the police station for her own safety.
Another woman from East London took things a step further by presenting framed photos of herself and the musician as evidence of their supposed relationship. These photos, allegedly taken at an event, were carefully framed and displayed as a testament to their love. Once again, the woman was escorted to the police station to ensure her safety.
Confronting the Threat
Dumi Mkokstad, understandably concerned about the situation, expressed his worries to Sunday World. He revealed that some of these women have gone as far as confronting his wife, adding an extra layer of stress to an already perplexing situation.
Despite the intervention of the police, one of the women managed to find her way to Dumi’s wife’s home in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. It was only through careful negotiation and intervention that she was eventually sent back to her place of origin.
