Miss Universe turned Netflix star Zozibini Tunzi has officially broken her silence after the internet went into meltdown over her spicy new role in Bad Influencer.

After clips of her mean-girl alter ego Naomi Dlilanga made the rounds online, Mzansi was shook. SurgeZirc SA reported that some fans were gagged by her acting range — while others were clutching their pearls and calling for her Miss Universe crown to be revoked.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, 4 October 2025, the model and actress posted some behind-the-scenes snapshots and memes of her Bad Influencer character, letting her fans know that she, too, was taken aback by Naomi’s savage side.

“Naomi Dlilanga… you’ve made some people upset, my girl. I felt the same way, too, when I first read the sides for the audition, and I just knew that I really wanted to play her. What a pleasure to be on this beautiful show. Thank you so much for the love,” Zozi wrote.
