Zozibini Tunzi Bags Acting Role In Netflix Series Alongside Local Stars
A few months back she announced that she was taking up acting lessons and attending auditions. This has definitely paid off, as Zozibini Tunzi has now landed a major acting gig.
The former Miss Universe, model and TV personality has just bagged a role in an upcoming Netflix drama called Bad Influencer. The show takes viewers into a city that thrives on appearances, where two women are pulled into a dangerous double life – one lived online, the other in the underworld. Zozi plays Naomi, a character who promises plenty of drama.
Star-Studded Cast and Storyline
Tunzi is no stranger to the screen. She made her acting debut in the 2022 film The Woman King, playing the role of Efe, and has since appeared in guest roles on TV, including ChanceTV. However, Bad Influencer marks her first major role in a Netflix Series.
The series takes viewers into a city where appearances rule. Two women get caught in a dangerous double life — one in the glamorous online world, the other in the shadows of the underworld.

Zozibini joins a heavyweight local cast, including Hamilton Dlamini, Zikhona Sodlaka, Aubrey Poo, Thapelo Mokoena, Jo-Anne Reyneke, Emmanuel Castis, Cindy Mahlangu, Brendon Daniels, Nat Ramabulana, Mandisa ‘ZuluMecca’ Nduna, and Lerato Nxumalo.
Zozibini Tunzi Coming Soon to Netflix
Bad Influencer is set to premiere globally on 31 October 2025. Sharing the news on social media, Zozi couldn’t hide her excitement:
“The cat’s out the bag! Meet Naomi, on the new series Bad Influencer coming to Netflix on 31 October. I’m so proud of my first series role. The show is incredible, the cast is impeccable! You’re gonna love it all.”
