Authorities have launched a multi-faceted investigation into several serious charges, including assault, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), criminal injury, and kidnapping. Police spokesperson Brig Athlenda Mathe also confirmed that additional charges—including rape and sexual assault—could be added.

“The Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit is handling the case, and should the investigation reveal that any victims were underage at the time, further charges related to child pornography may be brought forward,” Mathe stated.

Zanzou Responds, Denies Link to Unpaid Bills

In a statement, Zanzou management claimed that upon learning of the disturbing videos, they conducted an internal investigation that led to the dismissal of the security staff allegedly responsible. The club has since outsourced its security services to a registered company and pledged to cooperate with law enforcement.

Additionally, Zanzou denied reports that the violence was linked to patrons failing to pay their bills, stating, “The video is in no way connected to any patrons not settling outstanding amounts, as falsely stated on social media.” The club is now exploring legal action against the former security staff involved in the abuse.

He said has more than 75 videos that he plans to release in the next few days.
