Zandie Khumalo Isn’t Budging – “I Never Lied About Senzo Meyiwa’s Death!”

Yoh, bafwethu, Zandie Khumalo is not here for the drama, okay?! She made it loud and clear on social media this week that she’s not apologising to anyone about her testimony in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial. In fact, she says she told her truth, and if you don’t like it – akukhale!

Now, let’s rewind. You know the story. Senzo, the Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates legend, was tragically shot in 2014 at the Vosloorus home of Zandie’s sister, Kelly Khumalo – who was also Senzo’s girlfriend at the time.

On the night of the drama, the house was full: Kelly, Zandie, their mom Ntombi, Kelly’s son Christian, Senzo’s buddies Tumelo Madlala and Mthokozisi Thwala, and Longwe Twala (Zandie’s ex). But since then, South Africans have been pointing fingers left, right, and centre, trying to figure out who was behind it all.

Zandie Khumalo’s Stand?

Zandie, however, is over the accusations. In a spicy Instagram post, she put her foot down, saying she never lied under oath and gave her testimony “to the best of her ability.” And as for her sister Kelly? Zandie says she’s 200% sure Kelly had nothing to do with Senzo’s death. In her words, “She is HIGHLY INCAPABLE of such!”

Here’s a taste of what Zandie shared (because wow, she came with the receipts):“Mina, I’m not gonna apologise to South Africans for sh*t! I never lied under oath. I gave my testimony to the best of my ability and recollection. Mina Zandile Lorraine Khumalo, I was never part of any planning or masterminding yokubulala uSenzo – if there ever was something like that.”

And then she hit us with the knockout punch: “Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who was involved in masterminding Senzo’s death – akaboshwe! Whether it’s my family member, Senzo’s family member, or someone unknown, we want justice, and asidlali!”

Sis is standing her ground like she’s in the final circle of a “Fortnite” game – no budging! But this statement left many South Africans with mixed feelings. Some think Zandie’s just trying to clear her name, while others believe there’s more to the story. Either way, one thing’s for sure, indaba iya shuba!

As for trying to get hold of Zandie for more tea? Hhay, that one is a story for another day – our calls went straight to voicemail.
