A 52-year-old woman was found alive with severe slash wounds on her neck, hand, and legs at a flat on Bellamont Road in Umdloti Beach, KZN.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received two calls for assistance, prompting a swift response from RUSA paramedics, reaction officers, and Netcare 911.

Suicide Attempt Confirmed

According to information received, the woman’s boyfriend discovered her in a blood-soaked bed after arriving at the flat.

Further investigation revealed that the woman, a resident of Effingham, KZN, had been struggling with depression and contemplating suicide.

The wife informed Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) that her spouse was bi-polar.
