Woman Gives Birth In Public Toilet, Newborn Tragically Declared Dead

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to a distress call at 13:37 on Tuesday after reports that a woman had given birth in a public toilet at the Verulam CBD bus rank in KwaZulu-Natal.

Within minutes, at 13:40, Reaction Officers and paramedics arrived on the scene and found the woman on the floor of the restroom after delivering her baby.

Baby Girl Found Unresponsive In Public Toilet

Tragically, the newborn baby girl was discovered unresponsive. Paramedics immediately assessed the infant but found she was not breathing.

Despite their urgent efforts, the child showed no signs of life. The Patient Record Form (PRF) confirmed that the baby had already passed away upon the arrival of first responders.

RUSA spokespersons later confirmed the heartbreaking outcome, stating that the newborn was declared deceased on the scene. Details surrounding the circumstances of the birth remain limited at the time of publishing this report.
