Wiseman Mncube Faces Backlash For “Racist” Remarks About Ashley Ogle

Wiseman Mncube just landed himself in serious hot water after his comments about Big Brother Mzansi star Ashley Ogle sent social media into a frenzy! The multi-award-winning actor is being labelled a racist after he took shots at Ashley’s race and background, and yoh, Mzansi is not having it!

Ever since stepping out of the Big Brother house, Ashley Ogle has been THAT girl—whether people love her or love to hate her. With the biggest fan base of the season, she has been trending daily and has already secured major bag alert!

Her fans have raised close to R500K to support her post-show journey. They’ve secured her an apartment in Johannesburg and she’s the most followed housemate of Season 5.

But with all that love comes the haters, and let’s just say Ashley has a lot of them—from ex-housemates to Twitter trolls, and now, even Wiseman Mncube himself.

Wiseman Mncube Sparks Controversy with His Facebook Post

Out of nowhere, Wiseman Mncube decided to jump into BBMzansi drama and drag Ashley Ogle’s name. Taking to Facebook, the actor referred to Ashley as “icoloured” and made a comment about her being from Wentworth, a known coloured community in Durban.

Wiseman wrote: “Kanti icoloured laGuluva lihlala eWentworth hehehe imashile! Muvoteleni abaleke ngezinyawo zombili cause that stakkie’s from the Gaali.”

Whew! If you don’t speak Kasi slang, let’s break it down: He basically called Ashley a coloured girl from Wentworth and told Sweet Guluva to RUN for his life.

While some people laughed at the post, a huge part of social media was absolutely disgusted—calling out Wiseman for being racist, classist, and just straight-up disrespectful.

The backlash was immediate and brutal. People are accusing Wiseman of judging Ashley based on her race and where she comes from.
