During an interview, Thakgi boldly suggested that dating Gigi Lamayne was a “downgrade” from Reason’s ex and baby mama, Lootlove. And let’s just say, Reason did NOT take that lightly!

A viral video from the interview shows him losing his cool after Thakgi made the controversial comparison.

Firing back, the rapper turned Amapiano artist called out the podcast host for reinforcing harmful beauty standards and disrespecting his partner. “What downgrade? What gives you the right to sit down and discuss another man’s relationship?

“What are you teaching these kids here? That oh yeah, if you’re a girl that looks like Gigi in the public perception, you’re a downgrade compared to a girl that looks like Luthando in the public perception?”

But Thakgi stood his ground, arguing that his statement was based on “public perception.”

“It was in comparison with what’s in the media and what we’ve seen,” he insisted.

Reason wasn’t having it! He shut it down immediately, making it clear that he wasn’t there for a back-and-forth debate.

“You’re trying to justify ish that has no basis. I didn’t come here to have a conversation. I came here to rectify you.”
