Waterloo Woman Stabbed In Alcohol Dispute During Night Out

A woman was stabbed on Saturday night in Waterloo, KwaZulu-Natal, after a dispute over a bottle of alcohol escalated into violence. Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received an emergency call at 23:46 from Hammonds Farm, where officers rushed to the scene.
When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from a stab wound to her abdomen.
Alcohol: Victim Explains How Fight Started
According to the injured woman, the altercation began while she was drinking liquor from a bottle. An unknown woman allegedly picked up the same bottle and took a drink, sparking a heated argument.
The victim told RUSA officers that the confrontation quickly turned physical when the unidentified woman produced a knife and stabbed her.

The attacker fled the scene following the incident. RUSA medics treated the victim before transporting her to the hospital for further care.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the identity of the suspect, and investigations are ongoing.
