WATCH| Uncle, 56, Arrested For ‘Brutally Raping Teen Niece, 13, After Spiking Her Drink’

A 56-year-old man stands accused of one of the most chilling betrayals of trust imaginable – the alleged rape of his own 13-year-old niece in Dobsonville.

Tshepo Ntsimane, the victim’s uncle, made his first court appearance last Wednesday on a single rape charge. He is scheduled to return to the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court on 14 April 2026, where he will launch a formal bid for bail.

‘She Went to Cook Dinner’ – How the Night Unravelled

The nightmare unfolded between 8pm on Friday, 3 April 2026, and 2am the following morning at a residence in Dobsonville. The young teenager had accompanied her aunt and a 10-year-old female friend to the property with a simple goal: to cook a meal. Their own home had no electricity.

Prosecutors allege that the suspect arrived later in the evening while under the influence of alcohol. It is further claimed that he handed the 13-year-old a drink that immediately left her feeling disoriented and dizzy.

From there, the state says, the girl was led to a vehicle parked outside the yard – where the alleged rape took place.

Found in ‘Distressed Condition’ Inside Uncle’s Office

When the victim next regained consciousness, she was no longer outside. She was inside the suspect’s office. Witnesses who entered the room later described finding her in a severely distressed state.

A subsequent medical examination produced positive findings – physical injuries consistent with sexual assault.

Forensic teams moved quickly. Investigators have confirmed that they recovered:

• The victim’s clothing inside a vehicle
• Vomit containing a red substance
• Wine stains on the office floor

CCTV and Witness Video Added to Evidence Pile

Authorities have also seized closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the premises, which is now being analysed as part of the ongoing probe.

In a dramatic twist, an adult witness who discovered the victim inside the office reportedly used a mobile phone to record video evidence of the scene. That footage has been logged as part of the case file.

Investigations continue, with the police stating that the matter is being handled with the necessary urgency.
