The Former 20 Something presenter revealed she was robbed of over R500,000 after a terrifying encounter when leaving an event. She recounted her nightmare in South Africa, highlighting how quickly things can spiral out of control.

The Events that Led to the Robbery

While attending an event, Naidoo was targeted by thieves as she exited her Uber. In a flash, her phone was snatched, and her woes only deepened when she discovered the following day that her bank accounts had been emptied.

She disclosed that after doing a SIM swap, the new SIM was never activated in time, leaving her vulnerable.

According to Naidoo, the perpetrators not only emptied her debit accounts, which included money from the sale of her house, but they also cleared her credit accounts, totaling approximately R500,000, which she had not used at all. Additionally, they withdrew all the funds from her excess bond, leaving her with nothing in her account.

A few hours later, the presenter provided an update, revealing that a forensics team has been assigned to her case. They are working to uncover the details, as Shashi reported the phone stolen just minutes after it was taken.
