University Of Johannesburg Responds To Tragic Shooting Incident In Braamfontein

The University of Johannesburg (UJ) has issued a statement expressing profound sadness and offering condolences following a shooting incident that took place in Braamfontein.

The incident resulted in the tragic deaths of two men and a UJ student, as well as the injury of another student.

According to reports, the two men were shot while sitting in a stationary car, and a stray bullet claimed the life of the UJ student. The university has confirmed that the deceased student was an 18-year-old male and a second-year student at UJ.

The incident occurred while the students were travelling on a bus from the university to their places of residence in Johannesburg City Centre. UJ is in contact with law enforcement agencies who are currently investigating the incident.
