Colonel Netshiunda added that police records show the couple has a history of opening cases against one another, with some of those matters already concluded in court.

The arrested man is expected to appear in court soon.

Police have again appealed to couples experiencing relationship problems to seek assistance from trusted family members, friends or professional support services, rather than resorting to violence.
