Tyla’s Olympic Mix-Up Leaves Fans In Stitches

South African singer Tyla Seethal had social media buzzing after a humorous slip-up during an interview with Vogue.
The 22-year-old performed at the prelude to the Olympics party at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, dazzling the audience with hits like ‘Water,’ ‘Jump,’ and ‘Thata Ahh.’ The event was a star-studded affair, held on the eve of the Olympic Games scheduled from July 26 to August 11.

Following her stellar performance, Tyla was quizzed by Vogue about the upcoming sporting event. When asked which athlete she was most excited to see, Tyla amusingly responded, ‘Sabrina Carpenter. She’s killing it right now, so I’m excited to see her.’

For those out of the loop, Sabrina Carpenter is a talented music artist, not an Olympic athlete. Fans found Tyla’s innocent mix-up both amusing and endearing, adding another charming moment to her growing list of public faux pas.

This isn’t Tyla’s first innocent blunder. In March, she had an ‘awkward’ yet memorable encounter with U.S. Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi at a Grammys afterparty.

Tyla admitted she didn’t recognize Pelosi at first but went along with the photo request anyway. ‘She held my hand, and I was like, ‘are you sure we should hold hands?’ because I didn’t know. I was kind of feeling a bit tight, but she was like, ‘hold my hand, hold my hand.’ It was cute,’ Tyla reflected.
On a brighter note, Tyla got to chill with fellow South African, actress Charlize Theron, who was one of the hosts of the Olympic party. The two posed for pictures together, adding a touch of homegrown star power to the international event.
Despite her mix-ups, Tyla continues to charm fans with her bubbly personality and undeniable talent.
