Tyla, Sammy Soso, And Sony Music Hit With Lawsuit Over Water: Producers Demand Fair Credits And Royalties — But Still Run Deep

Oh, Tyla! Just as she’s about to serve us some fresh heat with her new album, the drama surrounding Water has got everyone talking.

Tyla’s Water hit is making waves all over the world, but it turns out, not everyone’s feeling the love.

Producers Olmo Zucca and Jackson LoMastro are coming for Tyla, producer Sammy Soso (Samuel Awuku), and Sony Music with a lawsuit! And it’s spicy, honey.

Zucca and LoMastro say they were major players in the creation of Water during a session back in March 2023 in LA, but they claim they got totally left out when it came to credit and royalties.

Can you imagine working your behind off and then not getting your coin?

That’s exactly what they’re saying happened! They allege that Awuku took all the production credit for himself and cut them out of the royalty pie. No, ma’am!

Apparently, under the usual music rules, they should’ve received 12.5% of the royalties, but instead, they were left with barely anything.

Sounds fishy, right? They’re not just demanding their fair share, but they also want to be recognized as the top producers.
