Two Men Killed After Car Crashes Under Truck In Durban CBD

Two men were killed in a horrific crash early on Friday morning when their light motor vehicle slammed into a truck in the Durban CBD, going underneath it.
The collision happened at the corner of Anton Lembede Street and Stalwart Simelane Street at around 5:30am.
Paramedics declare two men dead
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said emergency teams arrived to find the car T-boned the truck, leaving both occupants severely trapped in the wreckage.
“Paramedics found a driver and a passenger severely entrapped in the wreckage. The eThekwini Fire Department was dispatched to assist,” said Jamieson.
Both victims, believed to be in their 30s, sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead at the scene.
Police have opened an investigation into the cause of the crash.
