Two Men Gunned Down In Tongaat Drive-By Horror

A deadly drive-by shooting has rocked the community of Magwaveni, Tongaat, after two men were killed in a hail of bullets on Tuesday afternoon.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) and Metro Police officers rushed to the scene after frantic calls reported heavy gunfire on an unnamed road in the area.

When officers arrived, they found one man lying next to a red Toyota Corolla, riddled with bullets to the head, neck, face and chest. He was declared dead at the scene.

Witnesses said the victim had been installing a sound system in the vehicle when gunmen opened fire.

Teen Victim Reportedly Among Gunned Down

Residents told RUSA that a 16-year-old boy was also hit during the attack and was rushed to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle — but he was reportedly declared dead on arrival.

First responders were unable to immediately confirm the teen’s death.

Gunmen Flee As Community Left Shaken

Witnesses described hearing multiple gunshots before a vehicle sped away from the scene.

The motive for the brutal killings remains unclear, but police have launched an investigation.
