Tuckshop Owner Fatally Attacked During Robbery In KwaZulu-Natal

A 38-year-old tuckshop owner was tragically murdered during a robbery in Amaoti, KwaZulu-Natal. Residents alerted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre on Wednesday around 06:56 after discovering the man’s lifeless body inside his home. Reaction Officers were promptly dispatched to the scene and coordinated with the Inanda SAPS upon arrival.

Investigations revealed that the suspects gained entry to the home through the roof and confronted the victim. They proceeded to steal cash from the tuckshop, which was attached to the house and owned by the deceased. The victim was brutally stabbed at least nine times before the suspects fled the scene.

Killings In KwaZulu-Natal

On Tuesday, SurgeZirc SA reported that a body of a female was discovered hanging from a tree in a dense bush on Himalaya Drive in Everest Heights, KwaZulu-Natal, earlier today. A member of the public arrived at the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Headquarters at approximately 11:46, requesting assistance.

The individual informed Reaction Officers that he had made the discovery after entering the bush to urinate.

Upon receiving the report, Reaction Officers and RUSA Paramedics immediately proceeded to the location and entered the bush. They found the deceased hanging by a maroon curtain bound to a tree. The body was in the early stages of decomposition.
