Tragic Domestic Violence Incident Claims Life of Elderly Man

A domestic violence-related incident took place at the community in Limpopo, resulting in the death of an elderly man.

According to police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, a 75-year-old suspect was involved in a violent rampage that ultimately led to his own demise.

Violent Events

The suspect’s violent behavior began when he encountered a male victim, from whom he had allegedly purchased bricks, while driving in his own vehicle late Friday night, March 14.

Without warning, the suspect shot the victim in the upper body, and the victim managed to drive to the nearest hospital.

The suspect then returned home, where he set his house ablaze after dousing it in a flammable liquid.

He proceeded to threaten his wife, instructing her to enter the burning house with him.

Fatal Conclusion

Fortunately, the suspect’s wife managed to escape the burning house, despite the suspect shooting at her several times.

Tragically, the suspect later took his own life, shooting himself at the scene.

Colonel Ledwaba urged anyone experiencing domestic violence or gender-based violence to seek assistance from professionals.
