Tragic Bus Crash Claims Lives Of 6 Children And Two Adults In Western Cape

At least eight people, including six minors, lost their lives in a devastating bus crash on the N1 near Roux Park, Worcester, on Sunday morning.

The Western Cape government confirmed the accident involved a bus travelling from the Eastern Cape to Cape Town, which overturned at approximately 07h15.

Emergency Teams Respond to Bus Crash

Western Cape Mobility Minister Isaac Sileku expressed his condolences and provided updates on the incident.

“Preliminary reports confirmed eight fatalities, of which six were minors, with multiple passengers sustaining injuries ranging from serious to minor,” Sileku said.

Emergency response teams worked swiftly to provide medical care to the injured and secure the crash site.

“This is a heartbreaking incident, and our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those who tragically lost their lives this morning. We also wish a full and speedy recovery to those injured,” Sileku added.
