This sudden split has left her groupmate, Slenda Da Dancing DJ, in quite a predicament. Insiders reveal that Thuli felt she was bringing more energy and followers to the group than Slenda Da Dancing DJ.
It wasn’t about money but rather about egos and who could pull more crowds at gigs. Thuli apparently believes she can achieve greater success as a solo DJ, much like the globally acclaimed Uncle Waffles. By going solo, she wouldn’t have to split her earnings with anyone else after performances.
However, not everyone is convinced that Thuli will thrive on her own. Another source mentioned that her arrogance might be her downfall, citing the Durban July weekend where 2Faced wasn’t even booked to perform due to Thuli’s inflated sense of stardom.
The source pointed out that other female DJ groups like TXC are doing well, and Slenda Da Dancing DJ has a strong musical background that will help her survive as a solo act.
