Thuli recently posted a video of herself at Urban Brew Studios—aka, where Generations: The Legacy is filmed.

Phongolo captioned the clip, “You’re on set but then you realise your true calling,” sparking speculation that she might be reprising her role as Namhla Diale. Although she has not confirmed anything, the timing has fans talking.

Phongolo originally joined Generations: The Legacy in 2014, playing Namhla, the daughter of Jack Mabaso (Vusi Kunene) and Lucy Diale (Manaka Ranaka). The character became popular, but in 2018, she announced her exit after four years. At the time, she shared a heartfelt message on social media, thanking the show for giving her a platform.

What Has Thuli Phongolo Been Up To Since?

Since leaving Generations, Phongolo’s acting career has been inconsistent. While she secured roles in The Wife and Rockville, she hasn’t been on mainstream television for a while.

Her DJ career also lost momentum after she distanced herself from DJ Maphorisa, with whom she was previously linked. Allegedly, she has been maintaining a soft lifestyle through a wealthy boyfriend rather than industry gigs.
