Three Police Officers Missing In Mysterious Disappearance — SAPS Launches Full-Scale Hunt!

Police have appealed to the public for help locating three Free State police officers who disappeared while travelling to their deployment station.

Officers Last Seen Near Grasmere Toll Plaza

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has launched a full-scale search for three missing police officers — Keamogetswe Buys (30), Boipelo Senoge (20), and Cebekhulu Linda (24).

According to national police spokesperson Brig. Athlende Mathe, the trio was travelling from Bloemfontein to their area of deployment in Limpopo when they vanished on Wednesday, April 23. Their last known location was the Engen garage near the Grasmere toll plaza on the N1.

“Their vehicle tracking device and cellphones have been off since the day of their disappearance,” Mathe said. The officers were driving a white VW Polo sedan with the registration number JCL 401 FS.

24-Hour Command Centre Activated as Search Intensifies

SAPS has established a 24-hour Venue Operational Centre (VOC) to coordinate the urgent search efforts. A high-level team of detectives and crime intelligence officers from Gauteng and the Free State has been mobilised to assist.

“The members were off duty at the time and did not make it to their area of deployment,” Mathe explained.

Police are investigating a case of possible hijacking and kidnapping as they continue working around the clock to track down the missing constables.

Public Urged to Assist with Any Information

Authorities have called on the public to assist with any information that could help locate the missing officers.

“Anyone who may have information on their whereabouts is encouraged to call the investigating officer, Capt Chaacha Manga, on 082 527-6099,” said Mathe.

Police remain hopeful that public cooperation and their ongoing investigation will lead to a breakthrough in the case.
