Three People Including Two Children Killed In Centurion Crash
As the Easter weekend got underway, a devastating motor vehicle crash in Centurion has resulted in the loss of three lives, including two children. The accident occurred at approximately 6 pm on Friday night on the N14 near Rooihuiskraal.
Emergency medical services spokesperson, Kyle van Reenen, shared that upon arrival at the scene, a light delivery vehicle was discovered to have left the roadway, overturning multiple times before colliding with a wall.

Two occupants of the vehicle, an adult male and a female, were found to have sustained moderate injuries. They were treated and stabilized at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
Tragically, during the course of the crash, three individuals who were seated in the cargo area were ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.
Among the victims were an adult female, a male approximately seven years old, and a female approximately one-year-old. Paramedics declared them deceased upon their arrival.
The South African Police Services (SAPS) are currently present at the scene, conducting further investigations into the incident.
In a separate and equally tragic incident, the South African and Botswana governments are working together to arrange the repatriation of the victims from a horrific bus crash in Limpopo.
The accident, which occurred on Thursday, claimed the lives of 45 passengers when their bus plunged off a bridge on the R518 road near Mokopane.
The coach, carrying 46 travellers from Botswana to Moria, tragically caught fire after a 50-meter free-fall, leaving only one passenger critically injured. An 8-year-old girl, who miraculously survived, is currently recovering in the hospital.
Botswana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lemogang Kwape, confirmed that his government is cooperating with South African authorities to facilitate the repatriation of the victims’ remains.
A team from the Botswana embassy in Pretoria has joined forces with South African officials to gather more information about the tragic incident. Minister Kwape expressed deep sadness and assured that every effort is being made to bring the repatriation process to a conclusion.
Meanwhile, Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, spokesperson for the South African Police Service, stated earlier on Friday that only nine of the 34 bodies recovered from the crash have been positively identified.
