For weeks, many speculated about what could have happened to the vibrant young star. Her aunt, Nompumelelo Ranaka, finally broke the silence in an interview, confirming that Katlego passed away due to natural causes.

An Emotional Farewell

On Saturday, 1 February, the Ranaka family came together for an emotional send-off, as they bid farewell to their beloved daughter, sister, and mother.

Dineo Ranaka was overcome with grief during her speech, breaking down in tears, while her sister Manaka Ranaka stepped in to console her. Katlego’s biological father, Sipho Lebaka, as well as other family members, also gave heartfelt tributes, remembering the bright, loving soul that she was.

A video from the funeral showing Dineo in tears, with Manaka holding her close, has left many in Mzansi chopping onions. Social media users hailed Manaka for her strength in holding her family together during such a tragic time.
