Thabo Bester’s Lawyer Withdraws During High Court Pre-Trial Hearing

Convicted murderer and rapist Thabo Bester’s lawyer, Advocate Lerato Moela, has officially withdrawn from representing him. The announcement came during a pre-trial hearing currently taking place at the Free State High Court in Bloemfontein.

New Counsel Steps In For Bester

Following Moela’s withdrawal, Advocate MoAfrica Wa Maila confirmed to the court that he has taken over Bester’s defense. The development comes as the matter proceeds with case management preparations ahead of the trial.

Bester appeared in court alongside his partner, Dr Nandipha Magudumana, and several former Mangaung Correctional Services officials.
