According to Bloomberg, PlayStation lovers would have to wait until 2022 to enjoy Horizon Forbidden West. According to the source, Sony has pushed back the release of its next big PS5 and PS4 exclusive until next year, from the current holiday season release date of 2021.

Sony hinted at a possible delay last month when it published an interview with PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst, which preceded today’s announcement. “For Horizon, we think we are on track to release this holiday season,” Hulst said at the time.
“But that isn’t quite certain yet, and we’re working as hard as we can to confirm that to you as soon as we can,” it’s not immediately clear what’s behind the delay.
If Horizon Forbidden West is delayed, it won’t be the first first-party exclusive to miss its previously scheduled release date of 2021. Earlier this year, the business announced that both Gran Turismo 7 and the next God of War game would be delayed until 2022.
