Tebogo Thobejane Calls Out Tumelo Ramaphosa For Mocking Cat Matlala Shooting, Suggests He’s On “His Payroll”

Tebogo Thobejane is officially unleashed, and no one is safe — not even President Cyril Ramaphosa’s son Tumelo Ramaphosa or the Podcast and Chill crew.
The former Muvhango actress has unleashed a blistering clapback at Tumelo and the Podcast and Chill crew after they laughed about her near-fatal shooting during a smash-or-pass game on the show. And sis did not mince her words.
What was supposed to be a lighthearted segment quickly turned tone-deaf and infuriating, prompting Tebogo to grab her platform and go full savage.
Tebogo Thobejane “Stop dragging me into narratives that have nothing to do with me”
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Tebogo put the country on notice with a fiery statement that left no room for misinterpretation.
She wrote: “I don’t owe this country anything… stop playing with my name. Stop using me as clickbait. Stop dragging me into narratives that have nothing to do with me. It ends now.”
She went further, making it crystal clear that the days of keeping quiet are gone:
“From here on, I will SUE anyone who speaks recklessly or stupidly about me… Find someone else to play with because I am done allowing it.”

If you thought she was finished — oh, she was just getting warmed up.
In a second scorching message, Tebogo called out MacG, Sol Phenduka, and Tumelo Ramaphosa by name — tagging them publicly.
She wrote:“So apparently almost being murdered is a joke in South Africa now.”
“Three grown men — Mac G, Sol, and Tumelo — sat there and laughed like violence against women is comedy.”
She slammed the trio for being “numb, desensitised” and using a woman’s near-death experience as cheap content.

“If this is the standard of entertainment, then South Africa is in a very dark place.”
In a moment that hit especially hard, she added: “Women are dying in this country DAILY. But hey, content is content, right?”
South Africans immediately took sides — some agreeing with her, others dragging the podcast for repeatedly crossing the line in the name of “banter.”
“I am not a victim. I am a survivor — a LOUD one.”
Tebogo continued in yet another message, saying she refuses to be humiliated:
“If people want to turn my ordeal into a joke… do it in PRIVATE.”
“I am not a victim. I am a survivor — a strong one, a loud one. And I will stop at NOTHING.”

And then? She turned her aim directly at Tumelo Ramaphosa — son of the president.
“It’s sad… with the power you should have and the surname you have… disappointing.”

Tebogo didn’t stop at criticism. She dropped a bombshell accusation, suggesting that the laughter might not have been innocent at all: “Maybe some of you are on the payroll… that’s the only reason you’d be this desperate to turn a serious situation into a joke.”

Where it all started: Tumelo’s messy “joke”
The drama erupted after Tumelo appeared on Podcast and Chill and, during a smash-or-pass segment, Tebogo’s name came up.
Instead of simply answering, Tumelo referenced her shooting incident with a joke — sending the studio into laughter and viewers into shock.
Tumelo’s answer? “I mean, Tebogo was going to die. Wasn’t she going to get killed? I’m sorry to say it.”
Now with Tebogo’s fiery response, the situation has officially escalated! Tumelo Ramaphosa and the Podcast crew respond, or will they stay silent as Tebogo runs this narrative?
