Tebogo Thobejane Explodes Over Cat Matlala Hype: “Women Are Thirsting Over An Accused Killer?!”

Tebogo Thobejane Explodes Over Cat Matlala Hype: “Women Are Thirsting Over An Accused Killer?!”

Former Muvhango actress and OnlyFans firestarter Tebogo Thobejane has officially had enough — and this time she’s not crying, not whispering, not hinting. She’s dragging, exposing, and accusing the nation of falling for what she calls “the biggest PR scam of 2025.”

This comes after women across South Africa bizarrely began crushing, thirsting, and openly gushing over her ex-boyfriend, Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala — a man currently behind bars and accused of plotting her assassination.

Yes. You read that correctly. Women… are flirting… with her murder-accused ex.

And Tebogo? She’s done playing nice.

SA Women Turn Parliament Testimony Into a Fan-Club Moment

Instead of focusing on why Matlala is appearing before Parliament’s ad hoc committee at Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional Centre in the first place — an attempted murder plot — some women were too busy admiring his “looks”, “demeanour”, and “charm”.

Exactly as activist Ntsiki Mazwai predicted, the timeline turned into a crime-thirst Olympics, with women saying things like:

  • “He’s actually handsome though…”
  • “Yoh Cat is fine shame!”
  • “I know he’s dangerous but…”

The “but” is doing a lot of work.

Tebogo Thobejane Calls It A “PR Stunt!”

Tebogo took to Instagram Stories and did not mince a SINGLE word.

Her message? This public sympathy for Cat is FAKE — paid for, organised, and strategically orchestrated.

“My intuition is loud: something here doesn’t add up. When the whole nation suddenly loves someone they once feared, it usually means the narrative is being managed behind the scenes.”

She went further, saying the sudden shift in tone from blogs and social media users is a classic sign of image laundering, meant to turn a murder accused into a misunderstood “heartthrob”.

In another post, she dragged South Africans for being easily manipulated:

“We as a nation get captured so easily. We forget the real crimes, the people who were hurt, and the lives that were lost. We let power rewrite the truth right in front of us.”

Tebogo Thobejane’s Post

“PR Can Clean an Image — NOT My Trauma”

Tebogo reminded everyone that behind the headlines is a real shooting, real blood, real fear, and real trauma.

No amount of hashtags or “Cat is cute” comments can erase what she lived through.

“PR can clean an image, but it can’t fix what was destroyed. Real crimes happened. Real people suffered.”

She says prayer is her only anchor — and that “God sees everything.”

While many sympathised, others accused Tebogo of acting innocent after benefiting from Cat’s lifestyle.

Some comments were scathing:

@lynn_yeba: “Why is she acting like she didn’t know he’s dangerous when she laid with him?”

@kweenbella1: “She knew very well Cat was a criminal when she was laying in the sheets. Now we must feel sorry for her?”

@kelebogile_nicole: “When she enjoyed his money she didn’t mind. Cat only became ‘dangerous’ when he turned on her.”

Even supporters had warnings:

cinahdyasi_: “Women calling this man hot are an embarrassment to womanhood.”

sandy_gasekoma: “Tebogo must keep quiet for her own safety. People are dying. This isn’t the time for social media rants.”

The ad hoc committee appearance was meant to uncover how Matlala allegedly operated from prison — and how he allegedly plotted attacks outside.

Instead, South Africa is now debating:

  • Why are women sexualising a murder accused?
  • Is Tebogo being sidelined by PR spin?
  • And is Cat’s camp working overtime to rewrite his image?
