ICYMI: Tebogo Thobejane Calls Men “Cowards” For Not Dating Her After Cat Matlala Shooting Saga

In case you missed it, actress and influencer Tebogo Thobejane is back in headlines — and this time, she’s calling out men for being “cowards” who no longer want to date her after her headline-making shooting earlier last year.

In a now-viral video shared on 2 November 2025, Tebogo opened up about the emotional and social fallout from the October 2024, N1 highway attack, allegedly ordered by her ex-boyfriend Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala. The incident left Tebogo shot in the foot and her friend paralysed.

Since then, she claims men have vanished faster than her allowance. “Men are not brave! There’s no man who will say ‘Come, I’ll date you even though you’ve been shot.’ They’re scared of dying,” she said.

Tebogo revealed she cries at home after being rejected, saying the trauma and online stigma have crushed her confidence.

“You get home and cry, asking God why you didn’t just die. You see your friends levelling up and even your enemies using your name to feed,” she shared.
