SAPS Explains the “Abnormal Behaviour”

According to an X update from @CrimeWatch_RSA, Tebogo wasn’t actually arrested for his online rants. Instead, police were called after he allegedly acted violently and assaulted people without cause. When officers arrived, they claim he resisted removal, which led to him being thrown into the van.

“Tebogo G. Mashego has not been arrested. Information received indicates that he displayed abnormal behaviour and allegedly acted violently, assaulting people without apparent cause. SAPS members had to forcefully remove him from the community for public safety,” the statement read.

Rumours have since swirled that Tebogo was admitted to hospital for a mental health evaluation, with some reports suggesting he may have “lost his mind.”
