Teacher On The Run For Alleged Rape Of 13 Year Old Student

A 58-year-old teacher is on the run after an alleged rape a 13-year-old girl learner.

The rape victim is a primary school pupil in the Capricorn district of Limpopo.

Provincial police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Thakeng, revealed that the learner was taken to her mother by another teacher, who informed her of the rape ordeal on Thursday.

Alleged Rape Action By Teacher And Police Investigation

Preliminary investigations indicate that the learner was allegedly raped several times since November 2024 until March 7, 2025.

A case of rape was registered, and the police are working to track down the suspect.

However, the teacher’s whereabouts are currently unknown, as he claimed to be in Hammanskraal, Pretoria, before switching off his cellphone.

Appeal For Public Assistance

Provincial Commissioner of Police, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has urged the public to assist in tracking down the suspect.
