A brutal shooting incident occurred on Masingana Road in Phase 6, Waterloo, KZN, on Friday afternoon.

The tragic attack left the taxi driver and a passenger dead.

Shocking Details Emerge

According to eyewitnesses, the suspect, who was a passenger in the taxi, shot the driver without warning while seated in the front seat.

A passenger attempting to flee through the rear sliding door was also gunned down.

The gunman then fled the scene on foot, leaving behind a trail of destruction.

The taxi, a white Toyota Quantum, rolled several meters before overturning.

Investigation Underway

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to the scene after being contacted by an off-duty detective from the South African Police Service (SAPS).

Two female passengers miraculously escaped unharmed.
