“Suspend Felix Hlophe!” Petition Rocks Gagasi FM After Abuse Allegations

Gagasi FM’s golden boy Felix Hlophe is at the centre of a fiery online storm.
South Africans on social media have launched a petition demanding the suspension of radio personality Felix Hlophe following serious domestic abuse allegations involving his wife, Tracy. What started as online murmurs has now exploded into a full-blown digital revolt — and the numbers are climbing fast.
The petition gained traction after controversial content creator Musa Khawula dropped the bomb on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, 28 December 2025, urging the public to sign.
“Suspend Felix Hlophe at Gagasi FM, sign the petition!” he wrote — and whew, Mzansi heard that LOUD.

At the time of publishing, over 880 people had already signed, calling on the Durban-based radio station to take immediate action while the allegations are addressed.
But as expected… not everyone agrees.
Suspend Felix Hlophe Petition Sets Social Media on Fire
This isn’t Felix Hlophe’s first brush with controversy. The Gagasi FM presenter previously trended after being accused of getting a little too cosy with his wife’s friend — a saga that already had timelines buzzing and eyebrows raised.
Now, with abuse allegations in the mix, the internet is once again divided between “hold him accountable” and “this is cancel culture gone too far.”

Some users are calling for restraint and privacy.
@kim__manana didn’t mince words: “For having a quarrel with his wife? Target pedophiles and murderers.”
Others questioned whether Tracy herself wants Felix suspended.
@Mukovhe24 asked: “Does Tracy want him suspended as well? Before we sign.”
Gagasi FM Silent as Cancel Culture vs Accountability Debate Erupts
The situation has also reignited conversations about selective accountability in the media industry.
@talker987 weighed in, saying: “We all know Gagasi FM won’t suspend Felix Hlophe for more than 5 days. That man is their biggest radio DJ. And they ignored the Minnie Ntuli issue.”
Oop — not the comparison.
Others feel the backlash is misdirected altogether.
@PhilasandJiyane wrote: “Cancel culture really targets the wrong people. So, he must be suspended for what exactly? For having a heated argument with his wife?”
Then came the economic reality check — because, well… it’s rough out here.
@Mandz_2 reminded everyone: “The kids’ school fees and food guys! Stop this thing of wanting people to lose income.”
@Knick_RSA echoed the sentiment: “Once you destroy him, you’re destroying the kids.”
Meanwhile, some voices are calling for intervention instead of cancellation.
@BassyFuneka said: “There are other alternatives that can be explored before we write off a black brother. Let’s help them fix and build their family.”
As of now, Felix Hlophe and Gagasi FM have not released any official statements, leaving social media to do what it does best — speculate, debate, drag, defend, and trend.
This saga has reopened a BIG national conversation about domestic disputes, public figures, cancel culture, and whether online petitions are justice… or just digital witch hunts.
So Mzansi — should Felix Hlophe be suspended, or is this cancel culture going too far? Drop your thoughts.
