Sundowns Smash PSL Record In Wild 11-Goal Demolition Of Siwelele

Mamelodi Sundowns reignited their Betway Premiership title push in spectacular style after hammering Siwelele FC 7-4 in an unforgettable clash on Saturday.
The defending league champions returned to winning ways after their frustrating 1-1 draw against Kaizer Chiefs earlier in the week — a result that had allowed Orlando Pirates to gain momentum in the title race.
But there was no sign of hesitation from Masandawana this time around as they delivered a ruthless attacking display in one of the most entertaining matches the league has ever seen.

The hosts wasted no time taking control of the contest. Teboho Mokoena got the scoring started in the seventh minute before Tashreeq Matthews doubled the advantage shortly afterwards.
Sundowns were flying and made it 3-0 after just 21 minutes when Nyiko Mobbie turned the ball into his own net under pressure.

To their credit, Siwelele continued fighting and managed to add two more late goals to reduce the damage, but the afternoon firmly belonged to Sundowns.
The thrilling 7-4 scoreline etched its place into Betway Premiership history as one of the league’s highest-scoring encounters, while Sundowns walked away with a massive three points in the title race.
