Springboks Thrash Wales In Cardiff To Cap Memorable Season

The Springboks delivered a masterclass in rugby on Saturday, hammering Wales 45-12 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. The dominant performance rounded off a stellar season for the South African side, who outclassed their hosts in every department.

Springboks Seal the Deal in Style

The second half saw the Springboks continue their relentless pressure, though they initially missed a few scoring opportunities. However, the floodgates reopened when Kurt-Lee Arendse’s incisive run set up Aphelele Fassi for a well-deserved try.

From there, it was all South Africa. Gerhard Steenekamp marked his debut with a try following sustained pressure in the Welsh red zone. Late in the game, young flyhalf Jordan Hendrikse added his name to the scoresheet with his first Test try, a moment to remember in only his second appearance.

Wales did manage a late consolation try through James Botham, but it was too little, too late for the hosts, who were thoroughly outplayed.
