Springboks Crush Wales 73-0 In Cardiff To Seal Unbeaten End-Of-Year Tour

The Springboks delivered a record-breaking performance in Cardiff, overwhelming Wales 73-0 at the Principality Stadium to complete their end-of-year tour unbeaten for the second consecutive season.
Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu spearheaded the scoring spree with a brace, contributing to South Africa’s total of eleven tries in a one-sided contest.
However, the emphatic result was somewhat overshadowed late in the match when Eben Etzebeth received a red card for a thumb to the eye.
Springboks Dominate Early as Tries Flow Relentlessly
The visitors opened their account in the ninth minute when loosehead prop Gerhard Steenekamp powered over following sustained pressure. Minutes later, Ethan Hooker burst through three defenders to add a second try as Wales struggled to contain the Springbok attack.
The hosts were in trouble again just after the half-hour mark when a dominant South African scrum on the five-metre line allowed Jasper Wiese to dot down for try number three.
The assault continued as Morne van den Berg capitalised shortly after the 40-minute mark, sending the Boks into half-time with a commanding 28-0 lead.

The second half brought no relief for Wales. Wilco Louw crashed over early on for his second tour try, while the home side also picked up a yellow card to deepen their woes.
Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu caught the Welsh defence napping with a quick tap-and-go to score his eighth try of the year, before Canan Moodie showcased his speed and composure to secure his ninth international try.
Andre Esterhuizen then bulldozed his way to a well-deserved try, followed by Feinberg-Mngomezulu grabbing his second of the night as the relentless onslaught continued.

Ruan Nortje claimed his first-ever international try on his 18th appearance, and Etzebeth — South Africa’s most capped player — later crossed for the team’s eleventh.
The shine dimmed only slightly after Etzebeth’s red card for an eye-gouging incident seen clearly on replay, but the scoreboard told the full story: a ruthless 73-0 demolition.
The Springboks wrapped up their tour with five wins from five, underlining their formidable form heading into the new season.
