Inter Miami, Lionel Messi’s new club, has announced a momentous presentation event called ‘The Unveil,’ set to take place on July 16 at their home stadium.
Last month, the Argentine football legend and seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, revealed his decision to join Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami after the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
In a press release, the club stated, “The highly anticipated unveiling event will feature captivating entertainment, on-pitch speeches, and more.”
It is expected that Messi will be accompanied by his former Barcelona teammate and retired Spanish international midfielder, Sergio Busquets, during the event, with the possibility of both players being presented together.
Inter Miami recently appointed Gerardo “Tata” Martino, a former coach of Barcelona and the Argentine national team, to lead the club.
Messi’s debut for Inter Miami is slated for July 21 against Mexican side Cruz Azul in the inaugural Leagues Cup, a tournament that brings together top-flight clubs from both MLS and the Mexican league.
Jorge Mas, the majority owner of Inter Miami, has expressed the club’s intentions to make “three to five signings” during the current transfer window.

Presently, Inter Miami sits at the bottom of the Eastern Conference in MLS and ranks 28th out of the 29 clubs in the league.
Martino, upon his appointment, revealed that he had conversed with Messi and Busquets regarding their imminent move to the MLS club.
“In our world, people often associate the United States and Miami with vacations. However, that’s not the case. They are coming here to compete,”
Martino stated. “Having won world titles and Spanish league championships, they will not relax. Competing is in their blood.”
