Former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana player Andile Jali is fuming after he was removed from a Mamelodi Sundowns WhatsApp group while typing his last message.
To make matters worse, Jali was sent off for Swallows in Saturday’s 1-0 loss against The Brazilians. For the midfield general, it was truly an afternoon to forget.
A tweet that went viral read: “As he was walking down the tunnel, Andile Jali confirmed he is still upset at Teboho Mokoena for removing him from the Sundowns players’ Whatsapp group while he was still typing his goodbye paragraph.
“It wasn’t intentional but he called for it, there’s a way to remove someone from a group chat,” said the Swallows captain.
“As you may know, I had been with the cub for many years and all I wanted to do was say my goodbyes to the gents, we went through a lot together.
“I typed 2 paragraphs and before I could even press send I was out of the group, can you imagine that?” Jali wrote.
Teboho Mokoena, along with Mothobi Mvala, is thought to be the group chat admin.
