Veteran South African Actor Seputla Sebogodi Dies At 62

Veteran South African actor, director and theatre-maker Seputla Sebogodi has died following complications related to diabetes. His family confirmed that he passed away on the evening of 15 July 2026. He was 62 years old.

In a statement, Sebogodi’s family described him as a gifted creative whose influence extended beyond the stage and screen. They said his work and the many lives he touched would ensure his legacy lives on. The family did not provide further details about his passing.

“His legacy will live on through his remarkable body of work and the many lives he touched,” the statement read.
