Sonia Mbele’s Son Donell Accused Of Rape

Donell Mbele, son of veteran actress Sonia Mbele, is once again making headlines, but sadly for all the wrong reasons.

This time, he has been accused of rape by his ex-girlfriend, Tamia Carvalho, who took to her Instagram account to share her harrowing experience. The incident reportedly took place on December 14 and 15, raising serious concerns about Donell’s behaviour.

“I was raped on the night of the 14th of December and early hours of the 15th of December 2024. I was violetated by someone I thought I could trust. Never thought this could happen to me and was very devastated when it happened. This happened in his home in South Africa,” the lady wrote.

She went on to reveal that she had at first consented to the action but later withdrew her consent. “I asked him to stop and he didn’t. I repeated myself multiple times and even started crying because he wouldn’t stop.

“The first time it happened was around 10pm on the 14th & I remember another incident where he just got on top of me, pinned me down & forced himself onto me. I told him to get off me and he refused & instead decided to record everything. Fortunately, I was able to get the video from his as evidence of what he did to me,” the lady wrote.

“I’ve been blaming myself for everything because I put myself in this situation, I still do. This shouldn’t happen to anyone, no one deserves to go through this, but it’s become a reality, my reality.

“I want to urge all the girls to please be careful out there & that you are allowed to SAY NO & change your mind. No one should ever feel entitled to your body & feel like they can do whatever they want to,” she continued with her story.

The lady further revealed that she has gotten the necessary help. She then shared messages of Sonia Mbele’s son admitting to violating her.

A Troubling Pattern of Behaviour

These recent allegations come just after an assault charge against Donell in 2022, where he faced accusations of physically abusing his then-girlfriend, Reokeditswe.

Although that case was dropped, the resurfacing of these claims has sparked discussions about his past behaviour and whether he has genuinely changed since then. It is distressing to see a pattern of alleged abusive actions emerge, leaving many to wonder about the implications.

Following Tamia’s shocking revelations, the call for justice has grown louder among fans and the public. Tamia shared screenshots of conversations suggesting Donell acknowledged his wrongdoing, further complicating the narrative.

Many are rallying for support for Tamia, hoping that she finds the justice and closure she deserves. The situation places pressure not only on Donell and his family but also highlights the importance of taking allegations of abuse seriously.
