South African Former rapper and businessman Siya “Slikour” Metane and his wife Melissa recently celebrated their fourth year anniversary.

The two are still going strong in their marriage which has lasted four years now. Silkour and Melissa have tried to keep their relationship and marriage private and out of the spotlight since they tied the knot in a private ceremony four years ago. They got wedded at a Johannesburg country club that had a few friends and family in attendance.

Many people have attributed their union to have been going strong because they both kept it private and did not allow much spotlight into it.

The rapper took to his Instagram to thank “Mama” for being in their lives and making sure they both just didn’t allow only their intelligence to run things. He insinuated their marriage is nothing but divine intervention.

“Thanks mama for being in my and our lives. Some things are bigger than our intelligence. Some things are divine in their intervention.”

Slikour has indicated in his previous posts that their family might grow bigger and they are both open to the idea of having more kids. The rapper is one of the many ex-boyfriends of Bonang Matheba, they both dated in 2007 and parted ways amicably after he successfully introduced her to the spotlight. He proposed to Melissa in 2016 and got married a year later in 2017.

Here’s a look at their first rodeo ride celebrating anniversaries. Another heartwarming post where the rapper was gushing over his lovely wife.

The former rapper had this to say then “As boys we fascinated by how much money or how many luxury cars or material things others have. You then get married and your fascination becomes of something money can’t buy…..time.

When you hear other people say they’ve been married for 20 to 30 years you look to them with so much fascination and respect for that time. Marriage doesn’t kill our dreams, love or innocence nor does it remove the challenges, temptations, distractions, complacency or any of our sins. Ironically it puts them all on a spotlight and it’s a path to confront our strengths and weaknesses with someone who has the time and faith to see you find the best version of yourself in the journey of life, with love being in the middle of it.

“So @melissa_iam my friend, my love it’s only a year of us supporting each other to be the best version of ourselves. As long as life wakes us up every morning it will be a life time task, I don’t only ask for time but the love to be constantly in between us in this journey of highs and lows. Happy First Anniversary and blessings to more time and love”

The rapper’s tribute this year was a little shorter now,  simply saying: “Thanks mama for being in my and our lives. Some things are bigger than our intelligence. Some things are divine in their intervention.”

We hope emotions are not getting shorter like the anniversary words.
