“I Can’t Even Say Her Name” — Sizwe Alakine Says He’s Gagged From Mentioning Lootlove

Things between Sizwe Alakine (formerly known as Reason) and his baby mama Lootlove appear to be far from amicable — despite what we were told years ago.

The rapper set social media buzzing after revealing that he is legally barred from mentioning Lootlove’s name anywhere, even in a positive context.

Yes. Anywhere. At all.

Sizwe Alakine Says He Was Served Legal Papers

Speaking on Podcast and Chill during an episode aired on Thursday, 15 January 2026, Sizwe Alakine shocked hosts MacG and Sol Phenduka when he revealed that he had been served with legal papers by Lootlove’s lawyers.

According to Reason, the alleged gag order prevents him from mentioning the mother of his twin daughters in interviews, conversations, or public commentary — regardless of intent.

“By the way, I can’t say her name, OK? I’ve been legally served with papers that I cannot mention her name at all, even in a positive light or a bad light,” he told the hosts.
“So you might have to bleep that or something so that I don’t get into trouble.”

What Triggered the Cease-and-Desist?

According to Reason, the legal letter arrived shortly after he confronted the Piano Pulse Podcast hosts — Thakgi, Munaka and S’fiso — following comments that were perceived as downgrading his current girlfriend, rapper Gigi Lamayne.

The situation escalated when Reason pulled up to defend Gigi’s name, and shortly afterwards, he says he was hit with a cease-and-desist.

“Since the pull-up… a couple of days later I got served some papers by her lawyers to say don’t ever mention her name,” Reason explained.

Sol Phenduka speculated that Lootlove may have taken issue with Reason defending Gigi against ‘downgrade’ narratives, even though he didn’t directly insult his ex.

“Why would that be problematic?” Sol asked. “You didn’t say anything bad about her.”

Still, the papers allegedly stood.

From ‘Amicable’ to Court Papers

Lootlove previously confirmed her split from Reason back in May 2020, stating at the time that the two were on amicable terms and committed to co-parenting their twin daughters peacefully.

Fast forward to now, and Reason’s revelation suggests the relationship has taken a much more legal turn behind the scenes.

Lootlove herself has never publicly dragged Reason or spoken ill of him — a fact some fans say makes the gag order understandable.

As expected, the comments section was divided.

Some praised Lootlove for protecting her peace, while others questioned the necessity of legal action.

Here’s what the streets are saying:

@TiegoPetra: “Way to go Lootlove 👏👏👏👏👏”

@GomolemoMpudi: “I didn’t know you can do this… interesting 😂”

@ShaiBlessing: “I never heard her talk about him either, so it’s best this way.”

@Kutlwano: “Why talk about an ex vele?”

@_cinamon.drip: “Maybe he uplifted Gigi in a way that unintentionally downgraded Lootlove. Just an assumption 🤷‍♀️”

Messy? A little. Complicated? Definitely.
