Shebeshxt Shocks SA With Pregnancy Announcement Mid-Court Drama! “Not The Right Time To Be Pregnant”

Limpopo’s most controversial musician Shebeshxt has finally confirmed the rumour mill’s hottest headline: he and his long-term partner Kholofelo Chuene are expecting a baby. And yes, the streets are shaking.

The news dropped inside the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 27 November 2025, where the Lekompo star — real name Katlego Lehlogonolo Chauke — is facing nine serious charges, including three counts of attempted murder and two counts of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. His case is a Schedule 6 matter, meaning the stakes could not be higher.

But in the middle of all this legal heat, Shebe threw in a plot twist the nation did not see coming.

Shebeshxt Confirms Pregnancy in Court

In an affidavit read before the court, Shebeshxt confirmed that his partner Kholofelo Chuene is pregnant and due to give birth in the first week of December.

This comes just over a year after the tragic passing of their nine-year-old daughter, Onthatile, who died in a car crash in June 2024.

Social media detectives quickly went to work and started circulating pictures of Kholofelo, showing her visibly pregnant — receipts were loaded.

But not everyone was buying the emotional angle.
X (formerly Twitter) went feral:

@spesh1512: “Isn’t he supposed to prove he’s not a danger to society? Where was this energy when he was violating people?”

@UkrainiSlav: “These contents in his affidavit are enough to make me go to church every week.”

@Moskito_Jnr: “He should have thought about all those responsibilities before doing stupid things.

@CollenGumbi: “Criminals become responsible when they’re arrested. They don’t think of their victims.”

@MoMadibi: “All criminals have families. He’s going to jail anyway — how will they cope?”

The streets are not sending prayers — they’re sending draggings.

Money Talks: Shebe Reveals His Monthly Responsibilities

Trying to secure bail, Shebe detailed his financial responsibilities:

• An 8-year-old daughter in Grade 2 who lives with her mother in Krugersdorp — he claims to pay R5,000 monthly maintenance.
• He financially supports both his unemployed parents, contributing R50,000 per month (R25,000 each).
• He also supports his partner’s family with R18,000 monthly.

Total: R73,000+ in family expenses every month.
The internet’s reaction? “Sir, this is not a Sassa application.”

Some users feel Shebeshxt is using financial pressure as a sympathy card. Others think the court is unlikely to budge given the seriousness of the charges.
