Seven Foreign Nationals Arrested As Cops Recover R1.2m In Hijacked Stock And Trailer

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) arrested seven foreign nationals on Friday morning after recovering hijacked goods valued at R1.2 million and a trailer during a coordinated operation in Petit, Benoni.
At about 09:02, members of the EMPD Intervention Unit, acting on a tip-off and working with private security and Crime Intelligence, moved on a plot in Gwendeleon Street where suspects were seen offloading merchandise from a hijacked trailer that had been stolen earlier in Pretoria. Officers recovered the trailer and the stock, and additional stolen items linked to a Dawn Park case from last month were also seized.
