Seshego Man Gets Double Life For Repeatedly Raping Girlfriend’s 13-Year-Old Daughter
A 34-year-old man has been removed from society for good, sentenced to two life imprisonment terms for the repeated rape of his then-girlfriend’s 13-year-old daughter in Seshego.
A Predator Preys Within the Home
The Seshego Magistrate’s Court handed down the decisive sentence after finding the man guilty on two counts of rape committed in 2021.
The court heard that the accused targeted the young girl while living with her and her mother in Seshego.
The brazen attacks occurred while the victim was preparing for school and her mother was present in another part of the house.

After each assault, the man threatened the child, instilling fear to prevent her from disclosing the horrific abuse to her mother or anyone else.
A Brave Disclosure Sees Seshego Man Locked Up
The case broke when the brave young victim found the courage to confide in a motivational speaker who had visited her school. This trusted adult took immediate action, ensuring the matter was reported to the child’s mother.
The mother, upon learning of the atrocities, did not hesitate to contact the police. A rape case was opened at the Seshego Police Station in November 2022 and was swiftly transferred to the specialised Seshego Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit.
Detective Sergeant Nation Teffo was assigned to the case, and his thorough investigation led directly to the arrest of the accused.

Following a successful prosecution, the Seshego Magistrate’s Court found the man guilty on 26 November 2025. He received the ultimate penalty: two life imprisonment terms, one for each count of rape.
In addition to the life sentences, the court took further measures to protect the public.
It declared the accused unfit to ever possess a firearm and ordered that his details be entered into the National Register for Sex Offenders.
Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, welcomed the sentence, commending Detective Sergeant Teffo and the prosecution team for their dedicated work in securing justice for the courageous young victim.
