Second Suspect In Tracy Brown Murder Case Appears In Gqeberha Court

A second suspect linked to the killing of National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) prosecutor Tracy Brown has made his first appearance in the Gqeberha Magistrate’s Court.

The accused, 31-year-old Ayabulela Busakwe, faces several charges, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Brown, who served at the New Brighton Magistrate’s Court, was tragically gunned down outside her home in Young Park, Gqeberha.

According to NPA Regional Spokesperson Luxolo Tyali, the case has been postponed until 10 September. This date has been set for the formal bail application of co-accused Sithembile Xungu, who was arrested earlier in connection with the case.

Initially, Xungu abandoned his bid for bail, but the latest postponement means he will now formally apply next week. Both suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues.
