According to Brigadier Novela Potelwa, spokesperson for the Western Cape police, Adams was taken into custody by detectives from the Serious Violent Crimes Unit.
“The investigation into the murder is ongoing, and we anticipate more arrests as the case progresses,” she stated.
The victim was fatally shot in the head just before 11 a.m. in the lobby area on the fourth floor of the Wynberg Regional Court, a scene that unfolded in full view of court officials and the public.

Mathews, a 35-year-old woman from Strandfontein, was arrested on April 13 and has already appeared in court.
According to Eric Ntabazalila, spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Adams’ case was postponed to Wednesday to allow him to join Mathews in court.

“More charges are expected to be added when they appear together,” Ntabazalila confirmed.
Sources allege that the victim, Dingalomoyo Chintso, was affiliated with the Junky Funky Kidz (JFK) gang, and hailed from Vrygrond near Muizenberg.
Police Continue Search For More Suspects
The Western Cape police have emphasized that the investigation remains active, with detectives interviewing multiple persons of interest. Potelwa reiterated the unit’s commitment.

“Steady progress is being made to apprehend all those responsible for the murder.”
The killing has raised serious concerns about gang violence infiltrating the justice system, especially given the high-profile nature of the incident occurring within a courthouse.
Security protocols are under review following the shooting.
