School Bloodbath: Three Learners Stabbed As Chaos Erupts At Cape Town High School

The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has raised alarm following a violent altercation at Windermere High School in Cape Town that left three learners injured.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday when two groups of learners clashed on the school grounds, resulting in multiple injuries. Authorities confirmed that three pupils sustained stab wounds and required hospital treatment.

WCED spokesperson Millicent Merton said: “Three learners sustained stab wounds during a fight between two groups of learners on the school premises this morning. Medical services were provided to the injured pupils.

“The incident was reported to Safe Schools, and the school received support from Law Enforcement.”

Shocking Videos Show Chaos and Destruction at Cape Town School

The incident has drawn widespread attention after disturbing videos began circulating on social media, showing scenes of unrest at the school.

In one clip, learners are seen throwing rocks at each other, with parts of the school’s front area reportedly damaged. Groups can be seen running across the grounds as objects are hurled back and forth.

Another video shows pupils tossing school bags out of classroom windows while an ambulance waits below, indicating that injuries had already occurred.

A third clip captures police officers on site attempting to restore order, as learners continue shouting in the background during the chaos.

Authorities Step In as Disciplinary Action Looms for learners

Law enforcement officers were deployed to the school to bring the situation under control, while emergency services attended to the injured pupils.

Merton confirmed that the matter is being handled in line with school policies.

She added that the school will implement its Code of Conduct as part of disciplinary action following the violent incident.

The WCED said it remains concerned about the safety of learners and is working with relevant stakeholders to prevent further violence.
